A blend of modernity and tradition, the Manufacture is a Villefranche-de-Rouergue's new cultural hub. Much more than just a media library, it also features a games library, a study room, an exhibition hall, and a space dedicated to virtual reality. This cultural venue, housed in a medieval architectural complex (the former "Marty nasses" factory), needed a strong, modern, recognizable, and accessible visual identity so that the town's inhabitants could identify with it, while at the same time demonstrating the status of the venue and its associated cultural offerings.

To create a strong identity that could cohabit with the venue and have the desired modern and cultural scope, a specific typography was entirely conceived. Called Typofacture, this typography brings the softness and friendly dimension of a place of sharing and conviviality through its roundness. With its play of heights, it also brings a musical touch that echoes the jazz collection present at the Manufacture, while evoking a mechanical side in reference to the place's past.

Entre modernité et tradition, la manufacture est le nouveau pôle culturel de la Villefranche-de-Rouergue, bien plus qu’une simple médiathèque, on y retrouve également une ludothèque, une salle d’étude, une salle d’exposition ou encore un espace dédié à la réalité virtuelle. Ce lieu culturel aménagé dans un ensemble architectural médiéval (ancienne manufacture “Marty nasses”) avait besoin d’une identité visuelle forte, moderne, reconnaissable et accessible pour que les habitants de la ville puissent s’y identifier, tout en montrant le « standing » du lieu et des propositions culturels associés.

Afin de lui créer une identité forte qui pourrait cohabiter avec le lieu et avoir l’envergure moderne et culturel souhaité, une typographie spécifique a été entièrement conçue. Appelée, la Typofacture, cette typographie apporte la douceur et la dimension amical d’un lieu qui se veut un lieu de partage et de convivialité par sa rondeur. Avec son jeu de hauteur, elle apporte également un côté musical qui fait écho à la collection de jazz présente à la manufacture tout en évoquant un côté mécanique en référence au passé du lieu.
